The "Meet the Moon" ride to Fleet Moss is Arthur Wilson's brainchild and has become a fantastic club tradition. There are ride groups catering for the whole spectrum of the club, setting off at different times and aiming to arrive together at the summit for a mid-summer full moon. If you haven't been before, it is a really special atmosphere and an evening not to be missed.
Safety, pace, and ride notes
We will leave from Burnsall car park (by cafe) at 5:45 aiming to reach the top of Fleet Moss by 8:30 pm. Then return to Burnsall or ride on to Old Bridge (with option for Craven Arms in Appletreewick by 10 o'clock).
PLEASE NOTE: if riding back from the Craven Arms, it is another 11 miles back to the Old Bridge in Ilkley from there.
