Winter Base Miles training ride...all abilities welcome. Winter miles = Summer smiles. The routes are straight out and back, which gives an opportunity for less rapid riders to drop off, take a rest, turn early and have another chance to join the peloton on the return leg. Additionally, whenever possible a steady, supportive back group can form on the ride. Stronger, faster riders will be doing the hard graft on the front of the peloton, less strong riders can take benefit of the shelter.

Winter Weather: sometimes the weather will be rubbish or icey. The ride won’t be cancelled, its up to individuals to decide if they are riding or not. There are a core of hardy riders who are impervious to whatever the weather throws at them. Some others (me) prefer a bit of Zwift when its really grotty...
