ICC Women

Nearly 40% of ICC members are women and they actively participate in both mixed and women-specific social and race events at all levels across the Club.

There is a weekly women-specific social ride on a Monday at 9.30am. This is set at C1 social pace but it is a great first ride for anyone new to the Club. Cafe stops are always included!

We also run ad hoc women-specific beginner rides, skills sessions, and maintenance classes to help people newer to cycling to gain confidence to join in regular Club rides.

In addition, we ‘champion’ a number of local sportive, time trial, and track-racing events through the year for anyone wanting to extend their experience and skills, but with good company and moral support.

Details for all events will be listed on this website and also via the Women’s Facebook Group and via Facebook Messenger. These groups are open to Club Members - just request to join.

Our current Womens’ Officer is Louise Alder and her role is to:

i. To promote women’s rides within the Club

ii. To address any concerns raised about the support for women’s rides, either directly or by taking as an issue to the Committee.

Please contact her via email with any queries you may have.
