“Recreation to Racing”

Addressing the very beginnings to confident recreational & racing teenager.

Thank you in your interest in Ilkley Cycling Club Youth Section which is part of the wider club, we are a British Cycling (BC) recognised “Go-Ride Club” and adhere to all the good practice for safeguarding and understand each child is different and has different needs. We hold a number of sessions in term time for varying age groups and abilities. We are also very much networked into the wider cycling community and sign other opportunities that we are not able to offer. We understand that not all children want to race, and that is fine. Mainly we want the children to have fun, exercise and have safe cycling as part of their development as they grow.

Bike Loan Scheme

The Club has a small number of bikes to allow children to engage in Club activities and competitions. There is a small contribution due for the use. Parents need to commit to ensuring the bikes are kept secure and are used under supervision and appropriately.
