World Bicycle Relief works to empower women and girls to access education, healthcare and economic opportunity through cycling. Learn more about the life-changing work of World Bicycle Relief and the incredible impact a bicycle can have around the world - all while enjoying a memorable day out on the bike.

You will have the opportunity to ride alongside Lizzie Deignan — 2015 World Champion, Paris-Roubaix and Tour of Flanders winner, and Olympic silver medallist — as well as Flora Perkins, one of Britain’s exciting young professional riders with Fenix–Premier Tech.

There will be two route options (35 or 50 miles) to suit different abilities, taking in some of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Alongside the ride, you’ll have the chance to meet other riders, hear more about the work we do, and experience our virtual reality ride-to-school experience from Malawi.

Thanks to bicycle access, we’re seeing the difference that mobility can make every day. Students supported with our bicycles are seeing their average journey to school reduce from 82 minutes to 49 minutes, while healthcare workers have increased the number of households they can reach each week from 41 to 91.

The cost to participate is £60 and includes food and a WBR cycling jersey.

The day starts at 08:30 with morning coffee, breakfast and networking at Harrogate’s luxury farm shop, Weetons. Riders set off at 09:30 in small groups relevant to pace with expert rider leaders managing the speed and guiding the way.
