During her 8-year professional cycling career, Emma Pooley climbed to the top of the sport. She won multiple stage races and became time trial World Champion in 2010. Through all those long hours of training Emma hungered for real food rather than processed energy products. She decided to do something about it by creating her own portable nutrition – and that was the start of Oat To Joy! Emma wrote this book to share her passion for real, delicious, sports food with you. Over 10 years of innovation and testing have gone into the recipes in Oat To Joy.
In the book she also chronicles the highs and lows of her career as an athlete, from beginner cyclist to Olympic podium, from cake via cheese sandwiches and chocolate to the greatest pizza in the world. Emma’s story shares insights (and snacks) from a unique journey in sport.
