This event, long known for its scenic Pennine climbs, and for raising thousands of pounds for charitable causes, is back again after a short break.

This year's fundraising is for The Kirkwood, a charity in Kirklees delivering outstanding care for those affected by life-limiting illnesses.

Starting and finishing at Huddersfield Rugby Club in Lockwood, the route takes cyclists up some iconic climbs including Holme Moss (an early climb of the 2014 Tour de France), Woodhead Pass, Buckstones Moor and Emley Moor as well as many picturesque towns and villages such as Meltham, Marsden, Holmfirth, Denby Dale and Scissett.

And as an extra highlight, the event begins with a closed road mass start at 09.00.
