The evening (led by Tom, a physiotherapist who runs Summit Physiotherapy in Ilkley and Nick, an experienced personal trainer who operates Wholegevity in Ilkley), will involve a short talk, exploring the role strength training has to play with cycling injury and performance. This will then be followed by a practical workshop looking at some of the key cycling injuries affecting the neck, lower back, knees and ankles. Together, we will run through some simple yet effective mobility and strengthening exercises to hit the aforementioned areas. We will also discuss how this can be managed with bike fit tweaks too. Access to the exercises as videos will also be made available following the event.
The event will run from 18:30 until 20:30.
